AT FCUMC we strive to an inspiring worship that connects to all ages. We believe this best done through a blended service. We respect the traditions of the church, but at the same seek to remain relevant to younger generations. We also recognize that true worship is not about us, but about the Mighty God we serve.
What should I wear?
We will welcome you no matter what you are wearing, but if you are worried about fitting in, a mix of casual and dressy clothing is what most people wear for worship. You will see people in jeans or dress pants but in general the service is more casual. Dress shirts are common, but it’s rare to see someone in a suit and tie.
What about my children?
For the littlest ones we offer a nursery staffed with carefully screened and trained volunteers. You will find the nursery down the first hallway on the right just after you come in the main front door. Our greeters would be more than happy to guide you to the appropriate place for your children.
Can I take communion during worship even if I’m not Methodist?
Yes, The table of Holy Communion is Christ’s table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of the local congregation. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and to lead a new life of peace and love, as the invitation to the table says.
